Laureates Mining Ventures (LMV) is a public limited citizen-owned Zambian company established in 2015 with the objective of providing professional geological services to the Minerals Exploration, Mining, Engineering, Construction, Agricultural industries and other related institutions by utilising technical expertise, knowledge and experiences of its staff acquired over many decades of working in various capacities in the mining industry.
LMV is duly registered with PACRA as a consultancy and contracting company pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of the Registration of Business Names Act Cap 389 of the Laws of Zambia, and in the regulation made thereunder, has been entered under the number 120150136463 in the index of registration. The company has its registered offices at Mulungushi International Conference Centre, Annex Building, great East Road, Manda Hill, Lusaka. The company is affiliated with the Engineering Institution of Zamba (EIZ) (reg. #610802162001559), Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) (reg. # 123199), and is regulated by the Geoscience Institution of Zambia (GIZ).
The company is run by a team of professionals and technocrats that include Geologists, Engineers, metallurgists, and Service Management Personnel with combined experience in excess of 60 years working in various industrial sectors in Zambia. With this diverse industrial experience LMV is strategically placed to better serve the Minerals Exploration and Mining Industries.
Its management has significant experience in operating successful mineral exploration and evaluation projects for base and precious metals spanning the whole spectrum from grassroots exploration to advanced evaluation. The company’s core competences lie in Project Design, Mineral Project Evaluation and Valuation, Geotechnical & Hydrogeological Investigations, Management and Implementation of field surveys (Geochemical, Geophysical, Geotechnical, Geological), Database creation and management of prospective projects/tenements for joint ventures; Drilling Management; Core logging and sample handling protocols (QAQC) Environmental services (EPB & EIAs); and statutory compliance reporting.
